George Kurtz is one of our co-founders and has served as our president, chief executive officer, and a member of our board of directors since November 2011. From October 2004 to October 2011, Kurtz served in executive roles at McAfee, Inc., a security technology company, including as executive vice president and worldwide chief technology officer from October 2009 to October 2011. In October 1999, Kurtz founded Foundstone, Inc., a security technology company, where he served as its chief executive officer until it was acquired by McAfee, Inc. in October 2004. Since November 2017, he has also served as chairman and as a board member for the CrowdStrike Foundation, a nonprofit established to support the next generation of talent and research in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence through scholarships, grants, and other activities. Kurtz holds a B.S. in Accounting from Seton Hall University. Kurtz also holds a CPA license from the State of New Jersey with an inactive status.
